Brochard (Yves) and Darras (Claude) came to offer me an old comic that symbolized pretty good job in common at the time they practiced together painting and sculpture. Their subject was the bicycle associated with an idea of the social struggle. They were building bikes and used it as beautiful and effective sculptures.
The poster shows without changing a comic turn of the century displaying their themes namely 2 artists riding a bicycle, practicing their art. Disturbed by the "moral public order", they settle his account and back on their bikes. A kind of metaphorical parable.
